💳 Never Accidentally Delete a Paid Appointment

Deleting an appointment with payment history can create unnecessary headaches.

ShakeYourTail now displays a clear warning whenever you attempt to delete an appointment that contains recorded payments or completed transactions. This extra confirmation helps prevent accidental deletions and reminds you that the action cannot be undone.

📅 Payment Status at a Glance

Keeping track of payments just became much easier.

Appointments in both the Day and List calendar views now display colour-coded payment status indicators, allowing you to instantly see where each booking stands without opening the appointment.

You’ll now see:

• 🔴 Unpaid – Outstanding balance remaining
• 🟡 Part Paid – Partial payment received
• 🟢 Paid – Fully paid
• 🔵 Refunded – Fully refunded
• 🟠 Overpaid – Customer has paid more than the balance due

Not connected to Payments? No problem. You’ll still see a green total pill on your appointments, displaying the appointment total without any payment status labels.

💰 A Simpler Way to View Appointment Finances

We’ve completely reorganised appointment financial information.

The Balance section has been renamed to Total, making it clearer for businesses that aren’t connected to Payments.

Instead of switching between separate Total and Payments sections, everything is now organised into one easy-to-read area.

From a single place, you can now view:

• Current payment status
• Services and add-ons
• Discounts and taxes
• Payment methods
• Manual and online payments
• Refunds
• Payment notes
• Complete payment history

If you’re not connected to Payments, you’ll simply see the appointment total without payment status indicators, keeping the interface clean and relevant.

We’ve also renamed the setting “Display Outstanding Balance?” to “Display Total?” to better reflect how this feature now works for all users.

📱 Better Mobile Number Validation

Creating new appointments is now even smarter.

When adding a new client in the Add Appointment window, ShakeYourTail instantly checks whether the entered mobile number is valid.

This helps reduce typing mistakes and ensures your client’s contact information is accurate before the appointment is created.

🗓️ Clearer Calendar Terminology

To keep scheduling simple and intuitive, we’ve renamed Staff Event to simply Event.

A small change that makes the calendar cleaner and easier to understand for everyone.

🐞 Bug Fixes & Improvements

Alongside the new features, we’ve resolved several issues to make your daily workflow smoother.

Improved Online Registration Signatures

Customer signatures collected during online registration are now captured more accurately, providing a smoother signing experience across devices.

Better Navigation

Cancel buttons now reliably return users to the correct page, even when pages are opened in a new browser tab.

Cleaner CSV Reports

Downloaded reports now display currency symbols correctly when opened in Excel, making reports easier to read and share.

More Accurate Transaction Reports

Transaction reports no longer include unnecessary zero-value entries, helping keep your financial reports clean and easier to review.

Larger Microchip Field

The Pet Details screen now allows up to 100 characters in the microchip field, ensuring consistency throughout the system.

Improved Swedish Translations 🇸🇪

We’ve added and corrected several Swedish translations throughout the platform, making the experience more complete for Swedish-speaking users.
